Brings back many memories! I experienced 7 Ganesh Chaturthi in Mumbai & rural Maharashtra.
The rural (‘tribal’) celebrations were wonderful, intimate & joyful occasions.
Mumbai was sensory overload – & that is understating it enormously! My ears are still ringing 6 years after I returned to Blighty.
Great recollections Rob. There’s a few extreme celebrations here but nothing like Mumbai! Glad it helped remind you. Clearly ours is very low key and helps us realise the critical importance of connecting through events like this. Six years already! I’m working on forever here. As MAnjula would say: ‘let’s see’ 🤔🤭
