Reflective space

What is it?

An opportunity to meet to share your thoughts with other young adults (and one or two who are just young at heart)

Our monthly meeting is a way to connect and share with other open minded people ….

Reflect on what’s happening in the world, consider what the future holds, support each other, share the mistakes we’ve made and lessons we’re learned, be more active and less passive.

…and stroke a dog (Lucie) and a cat (Billet-Doux). If you’re lucky, there maybe cake.

The not-so-young one.

Manjula is still with us, even though her beautiful spirit has gone to find a new host.

Reflecting Again and again

Visiting Jony

Jony visited us, years ago in Mysore, and I’ve now returned to him a few times at his home in SW England in Hilpertin village, near Bath.

He’s become a good friend and a place of stimulating political, insightful and personally intimate (family, relationships, grief) conversations.

The t shirt says it all. I’m no help with physical lugging and probably limited value on the emotional support. I’ve even lost the skill of making tea.
Jony hasn’t and bakes bread. I’m borderline embarrassed by my inaction.
See who’s hanging out in his lounge.
Madam
Lovely house

Amongst his many activities and interests, he’s about to publish a second book of great photos from his travels. Profits from his first were donated a few years ago to Kaliyuvamane school where Kaveri now attends.

Dialogues : Making Connections

Over the last year we’ve occasionally had small gatherings at our house for young people.

It’s included people from their late teens to early adult but it’s open and not specific, conversations are in English and all it requires is an open mind accepting of others and their opinions.

It’s flexible.

It’s resulted in stimulating insightful conversations

We meet again this month to decide how to take it forward.
